Abstract

The authors analyzed literature data devoted to inframammary fold (IMF) reconstruction after mammoplasty. Over 27 relevant references in foreign and national literature on the methods of IMF reconstruction were considered. Surgical features, advantages and disadvantages of various techniques in reconstructive and in aesthetic plastic surgery were assessed. The authors demonstrated the main surgical methods for IMF reconstruction. Minimally invasive techniques of IMF reconstruction are effective in aesthetic surgery.
