Abstract

The review of national and foreign literature is devoted to simultaneous autologous adipose tissue transplantation and augmentation mammoplasty. Augmentation mammoplasty successfully solves the issue of volume increase. However, there are certain disadvantages of this procedure affecting aesthetic component of postoperative results. Autologous adipose tissue transplantation resolves the issues related to breast deformation and asymmetry after augmentation mammoplasty, medial contouring of implants in patients with asthenic constitution. This technique can be used as an independent mammoplasty procedure for primary breast augmentation without implants and volume restoration after removal of implants. At the same time, autologous adipose tissue transplantation has some disadvantages: possible deficit of donor and recipient areas, risk of calcifications and cysts, adipose tissue necrosis and other complications.
