This review is devoted to the problem of paraffin injection for breast contouring. The authors describe historical cases of unsuccessful paraffin injections for body contouring. The role of this problem in the 21st century is analyzed. The authors also discuss the main modern aspects of paraffin injection into human tissues and diagnostic approaches for analysis of changes after these procedures. Complications and methods of their correction after paraffin injection for breast contouring are analyzed. Systematization of knowledge about the problem of paraffin injection for breast contouring contributes to improving the quality of medical care for these patients.
