Abstract

Objective. To assess effectiveness and safety, as well as the author’s experience of full face correction with Onabotulinumtoxin A.

Material and methods. The author analyzed 183 patients who received a combination of BTA injections in the upper and lower or middle third of the face within a year. In addition to the upper face, injections into m. masseter, m. platysma, m. depressor anguli oris and m. mentalis were common. The minimum dose for full face correction was 50 units, maximum dose — 150 units.

Results. Botulinum toxin therapy with OnabotulinumtoxinA was effectivene and safe for full face correction. This approach resulted high satisfaction in patients.

Conclusion. Full face technique provides more stable and harmonious results compared to isolated correction of the upper face. However, botulinum toxin therapy with full face correction may be recommended only for well-experienced specialists considering anatomical features.
