We assessed the prospects of robot-assisted technologies in surgery, advantages and disadvantages of the newest techniques, as well as suggested their future development in plastic surgery. Literature review included English-language reports in the PubMed and Web of Science databases. Highly innovative plastic surgery has not yet integrated robot-assisted technologies into routine work. Innovative technologies can expand the range of safe procedures due to potentially better functional and aesthetic outcomes, as well as patient quality of life. Thus, this issue is relevant, and further clinical studies are required to analyze the prospects of robot-assisted technologies in plastic surgery.
