Abstract

Objective. To analyze the complaints motivating patients to seek for primary or secondary rhinoplasty.

Material and methods. Retrospective analysis of 527 cases was carried out between 2015 and 2022. We estimated demographic data, interventions and complaints. These data were ranked by frequency and significance for a particular patient.

Results. Patients seeking for primary rhinoplasty often complain of bulb-shaped tip, drooped tip or hump. Patients seeking for secondary rhinoplasty often complain of crooked nose, wide back and outline deformities. There were specific complaints after previous rhinoplasty (visible scars, A-deformation and pinch-deformation).

Conclusion. It is necessary to consider specific complaints, accurately identify the patient’s expectations from rhinoplasty and prevent postoperative asymmetry or crooked nose.
