Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To make simple and understandable protocols for combining hyaluronic acid-based medical devices with the most popular hardware techniques and thread lifting.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

On June 18, 2024, an Advisory Board was held in Moscow. There was discussion regarding combination of hyaluronic acid-based medical devices and hardware techniques, as well as patients’ preferences regarding combination of techniques.

RESULTS

According to anonymous survey data, the majority of patients (83%) are still women aged 30—50 years. The majority of women visit cosmetologists regularly and remain faithful to one clinic for a long time. About 72% of patients prefer several procedures at once during one visit to the clinic that underlines the importance of combined protocols. The authors also discussed combination of biorevitalizants and fillers based on hyaluronic acid with hardware and thread techniques, as well as advantages of such combinations. Biorevitalizants based on partially cross-linked hyaluronic acid are recommended at least 4—6 weeks before hardware procedure, whereas native hyaluronic acid can be used 2—4 weeks before the same procedure. The authors also agree that it makes sense to use fillers after hardware procedures.

CONCLUSION

The authors believe that similar protocols will be very useful for specialists who want to use the full potential of modern cosmetology.
