The authors reviewed modern approaches to rhinoplasty taking into account ethnic and anatomical characteristics of patients. Historical background, morphological types of nose, anthropometric data and modern principles of individualized planning of aesthetic surgeries are considered. Sociocultural and psychological aspects influencing the choice of technique and results of intervention are analyzed.
