Currently, photography is widely used to visualize and analyze various parts of human body in plastic surgery. Many specialists in plastic surgery and cosmetology are faced with the need to document certain cosmetic procedures or plastic surgeries. This includes recording the condition of patients at their visit to the clinic, during procedures, as well as visualizing the final result. Photography may be divided into two categories depending on purpose of presenting the information. The first category is comparative photography capturing images of the problem area before procedure and after achieving the desired result. The second category is photographs describing the process of procedure or surgery itself. Such photographs can be used to exchange experiences between specialists or for researches providing visual information about various methods for solving certain problems.
