Abstract

Literature data on osteotomy methods in rhinoplasty were analyzed. The authors considered the results of controlled studies devoted to ultrasound osteotomy and traditional methods. According to literature data, ultrasonic osteotomy is less likely to cause adverse events such as swelling, periorbital hematomas and pain in early postoperative period compared to traditional methods. Searching for optimal osteotomy method is still important, and there is a need for further long-term studies.
