Abstract

Objective. To analyze long-term treatment outcomes and quality of life after percutaneous correction of caudal displacement of breast implants.

Material and methods. The study included 30 patients. All patients underwent correction of caudal malposition of breast implants (percutaneous circular recurrent blocking suture).

Results. There was 1 case of percutaneous circular blocking suture failure due to intraoperative violation of surgical technique (p>0.05). The BREAST-Q questionnaire showed better quality of life and high patient satisfaction with aesthetic results (p<0.05).

Conclusion. The authors presented correction of caudal malposition of breast implants using percutaneous circular recurrent blocking suture. Considering high efficiency and small number of specific complications, they recommend this method for correction of caudal malposition of implants after augmentation mammoplasty.
