Abstract

Objective. To develop the original technique for nasal dorsum reinforcement via bone fixation by suspension suture in rhinoplasty for maintaining anatomical stability and creating necessary width and height of nasal dorsum.

Material and methods. We used suspension suture for nasal dorsum reinforcement in low lateral, incomplete transverse and complete paramedian osteotomies of nasal bones.

Results. There were 38 surgeries between June 2023 and July 2024. All patients were females aged 32 years (range 21—43). All patients underwent open rhinoplasty.

Conclusion. Original technique of suspension suture in structural rhinoplasty provides effective fixation of nasal dorsum bones with its alignment along aesthetic center and formation of necessary shape, width and height. This technique also prevents postoperative aesthetic and functional complications.
